How Many Governments Are Involved And With Whom ?

The first sightings occurred on the night of 11.7.1989 when two gendarmes, from Esneux Belgium, observed a silent, huge, triangle craft "with two very powerful white lights directed downwards and a sort of green and red garland". The photograph looks like it might be of a man-made triangular aircraft with people inspecting the vehicle. Can't make out the blurry individuals, so we can't say if the figures are human or alien. It could be aliens disguised as human.

SPECS

The TR-3B vehicle's outer coating is reactive to electrical stimulation and can change color, reflectiveness, and radar absorptiveness. The craft can appear as a small aircraft or a flying cylinder. It can trick radar receivers into falsely detecting a variety of aircraft, no aircraft, or aircraft at various locations. A circular, plasma filled accelerator ring called the "Magnetic Field Disrupter" [MFD] surrounds the rotatable crew compartment.

MFD generates a magnetic vortex field [utilizing a nuclear reactor] that disrupts or neutralizes the effects of gravity on mass within proximity by 89% : rendering the craft extremely light in weight. This effect enables the craft to outperform and outmaneuver any other aircraft. At Groom Lake - Area 51 - there have been rumors of a new element that acts as a catalyst to the plasma.

If a conventional nuclear reactor is used it must be designed in an unconventional way which looks suspiciously like impossible technology for this time period ! The reactor would need bulky shielding, and the heat produced would have to be converted into electricity to run the coils that produce the magnetic levitation field for the aircraft. The machinery needed would likely make the aircraft much too heavy to fly as it is now capable.

With the vehicle mass reduced by 89%, the craft can travel at Mach 9 : vertically or horizontally : and soar to an altitude of 120,000+ feet [36.6 km]. Sources say the performance is limited only by the stresses that the human pilots can endure. Which is a lot, considering the 89% reduction in mass, the G forces are also reduced by 89%.

The TR-3B's propulsion is provided by three multi-mode thrusters mounted at each corner of the triangular platform. The combined effect of its technology allows it to hover effortlessly or quietly glide at near treetop levels.

Exact wingspan and length of the TR-3B are not known : our sources estimate the TR-3B to be 600 feet wide (180 m) with a length of 450 feet (140 m). But there are also reports of a TR-3A : code-named : Black Manta : which is reported to be similar to the TR-3B but smaller in size : with a boomerang shaped wingspan of 60 feet (18 m) and a tapered length of 45 feet (14 m). No matter, it's massive !

The cost per craft is currently estimated, using today's dollars, at $3+ billion.

North Korea Launches Several Missiles Off Its Eastern Coast

South Korea's Defense Ministry says North Korea launched five missiles off its eastern coast Saturday, following similar tests earlier this week.

The Yonhap news agency quotes military officials as saying the missiles appear to be a type of short-range Scud missile.

The missiles were fired over several hours from Saturday morning, with the fifth missile launched in the afternoon.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff released a statement saying the military is fully ready to counter any North Korean threats and provocations.

Japan's Foreign Ministry has condemned the latest missile launches as a serious act of provocation against the security of neighboring countries.

North KoreaThe United States and North Korea's neighbors have described four North Korean missile tests Thursday as provocative, and called on the communist country to return to negotiations on de-nuclearization.

The the latest missile tests are taking place as the United States begins to celebrate is July 4 Independence Day holiday.

The missile tests add to the tensions on the Korean peninsula over North Korea's May 25 nuclear test and an April ballistic missile launch.

Britain's ambassador to Pyongyang Peter Hughes said Friday there was no evidence that North Korea was preparing to launch a long-range missile.

Japan defense officials last month said Pyongyang was preparing to launch a long-range missile capable of reaching the U.S. state of Hawaii around the U.S. Independence Day holiday.

NYT's Egan: Bush Years of 'Sanctioned Torture and War Built on Deceit'

Liberal New York Times reporter turned liberal nytimes.com blogger, Timothy Egan, posted "Capture the Flag" on Thursday, on how heartening it was to see American flags pop up in liberal domains. The post was ostensibly a plea for people of all political views to have faith in the future good of America. But Egan excused liberals for their lack of public patriotism during the Bush years, citing "years of sanctioned torture and war built on deceit."

Traveling in California and New York over the last couple of weeks, I noticed something in the summer landscape of these two deeply blue states that is more reminiscent of rural America this time of year -- a surfeit of American flags.

Among the offerings of street vendors in Harlem and outdoor stalls near the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the flag is often fused with the image of President Obama, a burst of color against a bleak wall, sometimes with a Superman motif. In California, I saw Old Glory on bicycles in the Bay Area, on backpacks in Yosemite and at campgrounds under the redwoods.

It's not unusual to see a flag in liberal provinces, of course. But in the Bush years of sanctioned torture and war built on deceit, many Americans withdrew from overt displays of patriotism. Some said they were ashamed of their country.

I wondered whether urban Americans, overwhelmingly Democratic, had something against the flag, or if they felt the country was no longer theirs. Now you can ask the same question of the other side of the political spectrum.

After giving Obama a pass on the flag-pin controversy, Egan insisted that a fringe secessionist movement in Texas matched the unrelenting Bush-hatred shown by the left for eight years (while ignoring Texas's unique entry into the Union, which makes talk of secession less odd than it would in other states).

At the same time, in deep red states like Texas, where secession talk heated up in the first months of the Obama presidency, there has been a passionate public embrace of the vaunted Lone Star flag, symbol of independence dating to the days of the Republic of Texas. Incidentally, the blue in that flag stands for loyalty, as defined by state code.

Murdoch CEO Labels Bloggers “Political Extremists”

A stinging attack by John Hartigan, the CEO of Rupert Murdoch’s News Limited, labels bloggers and alternative media outlets as “political extremists”. Hartigan implies that bloggers should be jailed as they are in oppressive police states like China and Burma.

In a speech to the National Press Club, Hartigan savagely dismissed blogs as, “Something of such little intellectual value as to be barely discernible from massive ignorance.”

“Bloggers don’t go to jail for their work. They simply aren’t held accountable like real reporters….It could be said the blogosphere is all eyeballs and no insights,” barked Hartigan.

“In the blogosphere, of course, the mainstream media is always found wanting. It really is time this myth was blown apart.”

“Blogs, and a large number of comment sites, specialise in political extremism and personal vilification. Radical sweeping statements without evidence are common.”

Hartigan doesn’t seem to grasp the fact that the mainstream media is always found wanting because they habitually lie about news events and spin stories to suit the demands of their corporate owners. This is the very reason why blogs and alternative media outlets have become so popular and have eaten into the mainstream media’s audience share, because people are sick of being treated like idiots, sick of being lied to, and are desperately in search of the truth.

Indeed, Hartigan’s boss Rupert Murdoch confessed to the fact that his media empire tried to shape public opinion to support the war in Iraq In other words, Murdoch’s many prominent news outlets wantonly put out propaganda supporting the manufactured case for invasion. Murdoch admitted to this while lamenting the corporate media’s “loss of power” to alternative media and Internet blogs, seemingly unaware of the fact that the two are directly connected.

When the people know that the corporate media is deliberately lying to them about Niger yellowcake and weapons of mass destruction, they are going to seek alternative avenues of information. The fact that the corporate media habitually lies is a manifestly provable reality, not a “myth” as Hartigan ludicrously claims.

n addition, while mainstream media routinely uses anonymous sources and little more than bluster and hot air to back up their stories, blogs provide links to almost every claim they make so readers can research the source evidence for themselves. This is the opposite from Hartigan’s claim that blogs make “radical sweeping statements without evidence.” Indeed, this phrase perfectly characterizes tactics employed by the mass media on a daily basis.

The corporate media monopoly has terminal cancer and they are losing their power to blogs and alternative media, which is why people like Hartigan are so angry and also why the establishment is aggressively moving to phase out the old Internet altogether and replace it with “Internet 2,” a highly regulated and controlled electronic Berlin wall, where alternative voices will be silenced and giant corporate propaganda organs will dominate once again.

As blogger Darryl Mason writes today, “John Hartigan is full of shit. Bloggers have gone to jail for their work, and to protect their sources, in North Korea, Iran, Egypt, the list of countries persecuting bloggers grows longer by the week. And the CEO of Australia’s biggest news corporation doesn’t know this?”

The jailing of bloggers for speaking too much truth is obviously not the kind of news that John Hartigan, a Rupert Murdoch CEO, is interested in. How could he not know about those jailing and prosecutions.

Remember those words. “Political extremism”.

You will hear that call more and more as the major news corporations scale up their war against independent media, and bloggers.

The source of the establishment’s move to claim that bloggers and alternative media outlets are “extremists” or at worst “terrorists,” as we first reported in September 2006, was a White House strategy document that the government had been following since 9/11.

In a September 5, 2006 speech President George W. Bush referred to the document as “an unclassified version of the strategy we’ve been pursuing since September the 11th, 2001,” that takes into account, “the changing nature of this enemy.”

The strategy paper on how to ‘win the war on terror’ cites “conspiracies” as one of the wellsprings of terrorism and threatens to “address” and “diminish” the problems they are causing the government in fulfilling their agenda.

This notion then reappeared in a March 2009 Homeland Security document entitled “Domestic Extremism Lexicon,” in which the “alternative media” is listed alongside other radical extremist groups with the implication that people who disagree with the mass media’s version of events are potential domestic terrorists.

According to World Net Daily, the DHS document was almost immediately rescinded, but the groups listed alongside Neo-Nazis, Aryan prison gangs and black power extremists again prove that the federal government is targeting American citizens who are merely knowledgeable about their rights and up on current issues as potential domestic terrorists to be treated as a “threat” to law enforcement.

American Doctors Busted for Fraud, Conspiracy in HIV Treatment Scam

(NaturalNews) I've often asserted that doctors exploit people for personal profit, prescribing drugs and procedures that are medically unnecessary while raking in millions from health insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid. This week, Miami doctor Roberto Rodriguez was sentenced to eight years in prison -- and ordered to pay $9 million back to Medicare -- for doing exactly that.

According to press reports, Dr. Rodriguez conspired with five other medical professionals to recruit patients, diagnose them with HIV, then forge false records for HIV treatment services that earned them millions of dollars in Medicare reimbursements. From October 2003 through February 2006, the team of doctors bilked Medicare (and taxpayers) for $20 million in false claims. (One of the co-conspirators -- Dr. Carmen del Cueto -- will be sentenced in September.)

But here's the best part: This fraud wasn't limited to just one medical clinic. Dr. Rodriguez was the medical director for five additional Miami-based HIV infusion clinics where the same fraud continued to the tune of millions of dollars.

As you learn all this, keep in mind that both of these fraudsters were state-licensed medical doctors, granted the right to prescribe dangerous (even deadly) chemicals to infants, children and senior citizens. These are people who went to medical school, who passed the graduation exams, and who were entrusted with the health of patients by "conventional medicine" licensing boards.

So how, then, could they have been such outrageous criminals, defrauding the taxpayers for millions of dollars while abandoning the real medical needs of their patients?

What's lacking in modern medicine: Ethics
The answer is that medical schools don't teach ethics. In fact, they have no interest in the subject. Med school students don't pursue the profession as a way to "explore the potential of ethical behavior;" they almost always pursue it out of ego and a desire for wealth. (A few exceptional doctors diverge from the majority and pursue it out of a genuine desire to help heal their fellow human beings, but those individuals are rare indeed.)

In our modern society, medicine is pursued primarily for personal profit by even those doctors who operate within the boundaries of the law. So why should we be surprised when two conventional doctors figure out a way to earn huge profits without engaging in any real medicine at all? The behavior, after all, is merely an extension of what they learned in medical school: Treat the symptoms, not the problem. Produce short-term results, not long-term solutions.

Earning "quick cash" is a lot like using pharmaceuticals to produce "quick results." They are shortcuts pursued by doctors with a shortcut mentality -- professionals who lack holistic thinking, who lack ethics, and who lack any real compassion for fellow human beings.

Sadly, these two criminal doctors reflect the dire lack of ethics in many of the physicians in the conventional medical community. This "make a quick buck at any cost" mentality dominates western medicine today, where the very idea of having compassion for a fellow human being is utterly alien to the most successful members of the profession.

Ian Tomlinson video shows surveillance can work both ways

The Guardian's publication today of amateur footage showing Ian Tomlinson, the bystander who died during last week's G20 protests, apparently being pushed over by a Met policeman makes depressing viewing. What a pointless waste of an innocent life.

But the incident serves to ease our current gloom in one respect. We worry a great deal about surveillance technology and the Big Brother era. But in a relatively open society where a newspaper can publish the facts as they emerge, it's a reminder that surveillance can work both ways, as inverse surveillance: the hunters hunted.

Who now remembers Rodney King? We'll come back to him, but are you aware (as I was not) that the French have a two-dollar word for this: "sousveillance" – "sous" as in from beneath and distinct from "sur" as in from above.

As Duncan Campbell set out in a typically measured article last night, we've been through demo deaths before – Kevin Gately (1974) and Blair Peach (1979) – as well as the 2005 killing of the Brazilian electrician Jean Charles de Menezes during the London bombing alert (though I always feel obliged to point out that the Brazilian police routinely do this sort of thing with impunity).

"Impunity" is the key word. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is already on the case of Tomlinson's death and the footage – filmed by an American fund manager on a business trip from New York – will obviously take it much further. The case will end up with the CPS.

As Duncan says, the initial police explanation no longer stands up. Nor did it after the shooting of De Menezes. This time there were cameras all over the place: police camcorders, CCTV, and those of the protesters, passing fund managers and news snappers. Surely the police must have their own access to footage of the incident? We will now find out.

Perhaps it is inevitable that, fired up with testosterone like the young people they were confronting in the City on 1 April, some young coppers will forget that they are being filmed too.

That was the lesson the Los Angeles police department learned in 1991 when they beat up Rodney King with their batons after a high-speed chase along the freeway system. King was not an upright citizen; he had been drinking and was in violation of his parole for a robbery conviction. He also resisted arrest.

But the police used excessive force – including taser stun guns and a 90-second kicking when he was finally subdued. No one would have believed King's account if George Holliday, another of those bystanders, hadn't filmed it.

Yes, I realise that the trial of four officers was transferred to the white suburbs and they were acquitted. It triggered the 1992 downtown LA riots, a few blocks from where my wife's cousin lives. It cost 53 lives and $1bn. A federal court later jailed two of the four officers and King got $3m in compensation.

How Cooking the Books on Inflation Helped Destroy the Global Economy

In the Wall Street Journal, Steven Gjerstad and Vernon Smith explain a key difference between the crash that followed the burst of the 1996-2006 housing bubble, and earlier bubbles that didn't bring the whole enchilada down with them when they deflated [HT: The Bubble Meter].

Monetary policy is a key part of the story -- monetary policy that created the appearance of prosperity, even as American families were growing more financially insecure year after year.

The Fed, under Clinton and Bush, kept interest rates at very low levels even after the recession that followed the crash of the dot-com bubble in the early 2000s. Combined with the elimination of capital gains for houses sold for less than a half-million dollars, the result was a lot of cheap money out there gravitating to one of the few sectors of the economy that was growing.

In just the past 40 years there were two other housing bubbles, with peaks in 1979 and 1989, but the largest one in U.S. history started in 1997, probably sparked by rising household income that began in 1992 combined with the elimination in 1997 of taxes on residential capital gains up to $500,000. Rising values in an asset market draw investor attention; the early stages of the housing bubble had this usual, self-reinforcing feature.

The 2001 recession might have ended the bubble, but the Federal Reserve decided to pursue an unusually expansionary monetary policy in order to counteract the downturn. When the Fed increased liquidity, money naturally flowed to the fastest expanding sector. Both the Clinton and Bush administrations aggressively pursued the goal of expanding homeownership, so credit standards eroded. Lenders and the investment banks that securitized mortgages used rising home prices to justify loans to buyers with limited assets and income. Rating agencies accepted the hypothesis of ever rising home values, gave large portions of each security issue an investment-grade rating, and investors gobbled them up.

On that last point, the authors gloss over a key point. As the NY Times reported last year, "Credit rating agencies did not properly manage their conflicts of interests when assigning ratings to structured products such as mortgage-backed securities, a report by the Securities and Exchange Commission said on Tuesday." But that's an aside ...

But housing expenditures in the U.S. and most of the developed world have historically taken about 30% of household income. If housing prices more than double in a seven-year period without a commensurate increase in income, eventually something has to give. When subprime lending, the interest-only adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM), and the negative-equity option ARM were no longer able to sustain the flow of new buyers, the inevitable crash could no longer be delayed.

How did we get there?

During the 1976-79 and 1986-89 housing price bubbles, the effective federal-funds interest rate was rising while housing prices rose: The Federal Reserve, "leaning against the wind," helped mitigate the bubbles. In January 2001, however, after four years with average inflation-adjusted house price increases of 7.2% per year (about 6% above trend for the past 80 years), the Fed started to decrease the fed-funds rate. By December 2001, the rate had been reduced to its lowest level since 1962. In 2002 the average fed-funds rate was lower than in any year since the 1958 recession. In 2003 and 2004 the average fed-funds rates were lower than in any year since 1955 when the rate series began.

Monetary policy, mortgage finance, relaxed lending standards, and tax-free capital gains provided astonishing economic stimulus: Mortgage loan originations increased an average of 56% per year for three years -- from $1.05 trillion in 2000 to $3.95 trillion in 2003!

Why didn't everyone see it coming a mile away? Some did, of course, but here we have to look at how changes to how we measure inflation played into the "irrational exuberance" of the past decade ...

We correctly think of the invisible money barons who own the Federal Reserve and the central banks of all the nations of the world as the most powerful men in the world. And they are. With the spoken word, a nod and a handshake, binding contracts for billions if not trillions of dollars are cast in iron. With their approval, men who might otherwise live in relative obscurity become governors and presidents. Without their approval, presidents tremble and kingdoms fall. These are the titans of the world. They are virtually omnipotent from a humanistic sense--and they are completely invisible. From on-high they govern those who govern. They are the masters of the universe who are shaping Earth into global hegemony of subservient nation-states that will shortly become a universal, multi-continental nation governed for, and by, the elite's of the world.

Below them on the ladder of power are the presidents, prime ministers and bureaucratic minions--those we commonly view as the most powerful men and women in the world. They are the lawmakers and the bureaucratic administrators of social justice in the developed world. The geopolitical policies they implement determine the direction of nations and whether peace or war envelopes the globe.

In the sphere we observe with our eyes and other senses, these two groups are the most powerful men and women in the world. Or are they?

In the United States of America, the politicians are legally obligated to observe the protective protocol of the Bill of Rights when they enact the laws by which we are governed. However, the men in black who "judge" the merits of the laws of the land have assumed for themselves the right to ignore, or mitigate the Bill of Rights in their decisions by coupling unrelated laws together in order to either "veto" existing case law or create new laws that allow the men in black to promulgate an unpopular social agenda that could never be successfully legislated by the lawmakers.

Three recent examples of judicial abuse are found in [1] the Dec. 2, 2003 ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court that allows police officers to violate the 4th Amendment with "no knock" searches. In that decision, the high court ruled in U.S. v Banks that the police, if they believe a suspect will destroy the evidence against them if they have a chance, do not have to wait before breaking down the door.

Dah? Excuse me?

What police officer would think otherwise?

All those in favor of waiting for the suspect to ditch the evidence against him before they let the police in, raise their hand. Everyone else, break down the door.

On July 28, 1998 North Las Vegas police raided the home of LaShawn Lowell Banks with a search warrant. They knocked, and even before someone 20 feet from the door could possibly have opened it, they crashed the door in.

When they got inside, Banks had just stepped out of his shower, dripping wet, to answer the door. The masked police officers took Banks, naked and dripping wet, handcuffed into the kitchen for interrogation. They found crack cocaine. Banks was arrested, tried, convicted and sent to prison. He appealed to the 9th Circuit. The appellate court ruled that the 4th Amendment mandated that officers wait a reasonable period after knocking before breaking down the door. The 9th Circuit Court threw out the conviction on the grounds that the evidence against Banks was secured by violating Banks' 4th Amendment rights.

I hate drug dealers, and I hate drugs. And, generally I have nothing but contempt for the decisions coming from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. But, this time, I agree with them. You can't abrogate the Bill of Rights when it is convenient to catch the bad guys and expect those abuses not to happen when the State decide to go after one of the good guys. The Bill of Rights either protects everyone, or it protects no one.

In this instance, in a 7 to 2 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court decided the 4th Amendment should not protect anyone. The high court of the land ruled that the 4th Amendment can be breached if it hinders law enforcement's effort to collect evidence of suspected crimes. Ignored by the justices is the reason the 4th Amendment exists. The 4th Amendment was deliberately, and with much forethought, inserted in the Bill of Rights to prevent a heavy-handed government of doing precisely what the high court has now authorized the police to do. In the interest of law enforcement expediency, the Bill of Rights has been abrogated by the courts. They are, and will continue to get away with this "minor" infringements of our rights because federal judges, with lifetime appointments, do not have to answer to the electorate.

Had Ronald Wilson Reagan not been elected the 40th President of the United States on Nov. 4, 1980, and had James Earl Carter been reelected instead, by the summer of 1981 the newspapers would not have been focused on Reagan recuperating from a near-fatal assassination attempt at the hands of wannabe assassin John Hinckley, but rather the media would be asking when would Americans start using the global currency of the International Monetary Fund instead of the US dollar?

In April, 1980 economist Leroy O. Laney, then an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Miami and now Professor of Economics at the University of Hawaii, was quietly retained as an economist-consultant for the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas to examine the weakness of the foreign exchange value of the US dollar and estimate the viability of the dollar's future as the world's reserve currency. In the first page of his report, after carefully noting his report was a "working paper," and not a planned action of the Fed, he observed that questions about "...the dollar's continued role at the center of the world's financial system" arise when the dollar comes under downward pressure in the market. Laney noted the current pressures began in 1973 with the dollar fell after being devalued twice in one decade, between 1973 and 1978. Clamoring to replace the dollar as the world's reserve currency in 1980 was the Duetschemark, the Swiss Franc and the Japanese Yen. Today, it's the Russian Rouble and the Chinese Yuan. The Deutsche Bundesbank argued, in 1979, that the Deutschemark should become the world's reserve currency since, in 1979, the mark accounted for 11.3% of the official foreign exchange, making it the most likely replacement for the US dollar.

In the 1970s, due to the volatility of the US dollar and the weakness of the British pound, there was a lot of talk about reviving the official monetary role of gold—but not necessarily reinstituting the gold standard. Gold advocates suggested using gold as an alternative asset in central bank portfolios. The Carter Administration assured the European Community in 1978 that if the Europeans sought reserve currency diversification for both their national markets and the euromarkets, the United States would not attempt to artificially perpetuate the international status of the US dollar. By 1980, Carter further obliged the globalists in Europe who were attempting to create a global monetary unit to replace all of the world's currencies by amassing its own foreign currency reserve rather than relying on short-term central bank swap lines and the traditional financing of the nation's deficit by increasing dollar-denominated liabilities to foreign countries.
